Malcolm grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, where his vibrant personality and engaging presence consistently drew the attention of those around him. He possesses a deep passion for helping others, particularly in the realm of health, where he works diligently to improve and protect individuals from harmful diseases. His commitment to serving others through strong leadership and compassion enables him to positively impact lives now and in the future. Throughout his career journey, Malcolm has focused on implementing health programs and promoting health education to uplift communities.

After a rigorous application process that emphasized technical skills, motivation, adaptability, and cross-cultural understanding, Malcolm was selected by the United States Peace Corps to serve as an International Health Extension Agent in Zambia. He arrived in June 2015, joining the Community Health Improvement Project (CHIP) as a Peace Corps Volunteer (PCV). During his time in Zambia, Malcolm worked in rural communities, teaching and empowering individuals in key health areas such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, and maternal and child health. He also addressed other important community health topics, including food security, nutrition, and water and sanitation hygiene education—collectively known as WASHE. Committed to underserved health issues, Malcolm dedicated himself to learning the local language, IchiBemba, investing 138 hours in mastering its grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills to foster meaningful connections in his host community.

Prior to his Peace Corps service, Malcolm joined the American-Jamaican Link Charitable Foundation (AJL), where he applied his professional expertise in a challenging environment, pursuing his dream of addressing health crises. In Jamaica, he conducted research and engaged with the community to gather essential information for developing a fish farm aimed at creating jobs and enhancing food production in Black River. Additionally, he educated the community on hygiene and HIV/AIDS, raising awareness about various health issues affecting the parish of St. Elizabeth.

In addition, he also volunteered for The United States Air Force in Seoul, South Korea while feeding an orphanage and educating about the importance of eating healthy.

Malcolm aspires to further his education by obtaining a Doctorate degree in Public Health, specializing in Global/International Health Leadership. This achievement will empower him to make an even greater impact in the world, serving as a beacon of hope for those in need.
