Dr. Joerum is a young man born in Lusaka, Zambia. Although both of his parents are Lozi speaking Zambians from the Western Province of Zambia, most his life he was raised in the Bemba land of Luapula Province.
He always had the desire to help others, especially the less privileged, when opportunities presented themselves. That is why in his early years he decided to join the Catholic Priesthood as a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate whose charism of working with the poor he identified with. Although he left religious life as a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate, Joerum continues to keep a close relationship to God and decided to venture off on a new journey that awaited and allowed him to continue serving mankind through multiple organizations, groups and individuals he interacts with in his daily life.
Among all the entities he encountered during his lifetime, he is happy to say he was able to become the Founder of Theotokos Institute, a tertiary institution of higher learning that is currently operating in Zambia and has so far graduated over 300 people in Zambia and neighboring countries.
THEOTOKOS INSTITUTE
An affiliate of the Ministry of Health, Zambia Counseling Council, Health Care Association of Zambia & Supershine University. It's mission is: “Quality Education to Promote Hope, Healthy & Recovery among People”. Joerum has created Theotokos Institute to operate training programs that are centered in the area of counseling as it allows opportunities for many individuals to earn their certificate and diploma which they conduct online, distance learning and physical classes.
Campuses are located in Kasama, Mansa, Serenje, Mkushi and Kapiri Mposhi districts of Zambia.
As Founder of Theotokos Institute, Joerum works with employees and students in the expertise areas of: Psychosocial Counseling; Guidance Counseling; Theology; Rapid HIV/AIDS Testing; Counselling Supervision; Trainer of trainers; HIV/AIDS Management; Social Work; Health Care Management and Introduction to Computers, among other programs.
Apart from the training programs provided through Theotokos Institute, Joerum also helps counseling in the areas of Child; Individual; Family; Couples; Relationships (Pre-Marital, Friendship, Family Members); Marriage; Drugs & Alcohol Addiction; Family Planning; HIV/Testing; Advocacy against early child marriages, teenage pregnancies and gender based violence; and lastly, helping individuals cope with life after losing a loved one either through death or divorce. These counseling programs are offered to the community on "Pro Bono" basis as its way of him, employees, graduates and enrolled students to give back to the community.

Richard Namangolwa is the fifth of nine siblings, born in Samfya, a district in the Luapula Province of Zambia. Although both of his parents hail from the Lori-speaking community in Western Province, Richard was raised and educated in Luapula Province, where he attended primary and secondary schools.
In his professional career, Richard served as the Deputy Immigration Officer-In-Charge in Kaputa District, which borders the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In this role, he collaborated with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), demonstrating his commitment to humanitarian efforts. Despite the challenges of working in a complex and often volatile environment, Richard volunteered to assist asylum seekers, refugees, and people of concern (POC) by transporting them from points of entry to transit centers. His dedication to helping those in need is further highlighted by his skills as a psychosocial counselor, which he utilized to provide voluntary counseling to individuals traumatized by the effects of war in the DRC.
Additionally, Richard served as a Community Engagement Officer at Nalu Counseling, Rehabilitation & Ecological Center. In this capacity, he was responsible for mobilizing youth and adolescents within the community, providing crucial services such as counseling, HIV testing, rehabilitation, sexual and reproductive health education, and support for gender-based violence (GBV) prevention. He also focused on educational support for vulnerable children, working tirelessly to uplift and empower those in need.

Tasila Banda Tembo was born on a sunny day, July 14, 1994, at Mkushi District Hospital in Mkushi, where she is the eldest of six siblings.
She began her educational journey at the age of five, enrolling at Mkushi Boma Basic School. Although she was the youngest student in her class, Tasila quickly distinguished herself as a dedicated and diligent learner. In 2007, she progressed from elementary to secondary school, successfully completing both the 8th and 9th grades. During her time in secondary school, Tasila was recognized for her exemplary attendance and was honored as the most disciplined student. Her hard work paid off when she passed her grade 9 exams, allowing her to advance to grade 10 in 2009.
In 2010, Tasila transitioned to Mkushi High School as a freshman. While in high school, she spent much of her time in the library with friends, thriving in an environment that emphasized punctuality and discipline in academic pursuits. Throughout her high school years, Tasila nurtured her dream of becoming a nurse, fueled by her passion for helping others.
In 2015, Tasila embarked on her college journey, pursuing a diploma in Early Childhood Education at Mufulira Professional College in Mufulira. She excelled academically and, through her hard work and dedication, graduated in 2018, marking a significant milestone in her educational career.

Mary Kunda is a 27-year-old agricultural professional from Kapiri Mposhi, Zambia. She is a goal-oriented individual with a strong ability to apply her agricultural skills in practice, consistently achieving excellent results.
Mary completed her secondary education in 2014, earning a Grade Twelve Certificate. In 2016, she pursued further studies by enrolling in a Certificate program in General Agriculture at Nkumbi International College in Mkushi.
Following her education, Mary undertook an internship as a Farm Supervisor at Chabwino Farms in Mkushi, where she gained hands-on experience over a six-month period. Upon completing her internship, she graduated with a Craft Certificate in General Agriculture.
In 2020, Mary joined the One Acre Fund Organization in Kabwe as a Field Enumerator, where she worked for two years. Driven by her passion for agriculture, she later received an internship opportunity with Micro Acres Zambia in Lusaka, focusing on agronomy. During this time, she earned her Certificate in Agronomy.
By 2022, Mary was ready to advance her career as an Agronomist (Supervisor) with another company in Kabwe. In this role, she led a team of over 100 individuals, managing daily operations effectively. She implemented improved planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques, as well as overseeing livestock care and operating farm equipment, including tractors.

Mulenga John was born on May 26, 1990, in Zambia, to Pascle Mulenga (father, now deceased) and Jennifer Longa (mother, living). He is the sixth of eight siblings, with five older siblings (a brother and sister who have passed away) and two younger siblings.
Mulenga began his educational journey in 1996 at Katema Primary School, where he earned his Grade 7 certificate. He then attended Harry Mwanga Secondary School, where he obtained his Grade 9 certificate. He continued his education at Eden Institute, completing his Grade 12 studies and receiving a certificate.
After finishing secondary school, Mulenga pursued vocational training at Stefenuts Stock Company, where he earned certificates in Brick Laying, Carpentry/Joinery, and Metal Fabrication.
